With a sad heart and lonely feeling I will try to write this obituary of my wife, Mary Mosley.
She was born March 29, 1916, and died October 27, 1977, making her stay here in this life almost 62
years. She was the daughter of Richard Slone and Cora Blackburn Slone. She was married to Birtchel Mosley
on May 10, 1933. Unto this union were born 11 children; two died at birth, leaving 9 to mourn her passing.
She accepted the Lord in early life and joined the Regular Baptist Church and lived a good
and faithful life for many years. Then she became sick and didn't get to go to church any more. But she lived her
life so I don't have any doubt but what she is at rest in the good Lord, because I talked to her many times after
she was down bedfast. She told me she wasn't afraid to die. I thank the good Lord for the patience he gave me
to be good and kind to her in every way. I did everything I knew to do for her including doctors, medicine and
kindness in every way. No man could have been better to a baby than I was to her. But after all it was the good
Lord's will to take her home to rest, out of her sickness and pain. So children, just try to meet Mama in a world
where trouble cannot come.
