With the help of the good Lord I will try to write the obituary of Erma Glee Hall. She was born March 19,
1940, the daughter of Delza and Polly Mosley Stone. She departed from this life on May 25, 200, making her
stay on earth 60 years. Erma was married to Leroy Hall on May 23, 1959. Unto them were born two sons,
Jeffery and Gregory. In January, 1972, while coming home from work, Leroy was killed by a train at Lackey,
Kentucky. Erma never seemed happy anymore. She was always sad and lonesome. She liked to go to church
and talk about the Lord. She liked to sing old songs of Zion to her grandson. Erma was a good person and
seemed to love everybody. She was sick for years, but didn’t know she had cancer until 2 months before she
passed away. When she got out of the hospital she wanted to come and stay with me. I thank God for giving
her a mind to come and stay with me. Erma leaves behind 2 sons, Jeffery Dwayne Hall and Gregory Lee Hall,
1 grandson, Joseph Hall, daughter-in-law, Denise Hall, 2 sisters, Ila Hall and Mattie Johnson, 1 brother, Arthur
Slone, and a host of nieces and nephews who loved her very much. Erma was preceded in death by her
parents, Selza and Polly Slone, her husband, Leroy Hall, 3 brothers, Arnold, Vertis and Marcus. Erma told
Elder Milburn Slone the night before she passed away she had made it right with the Lord and was ready to
go. I believe the Lord came around 7:15 a.m. the next morning and got her and took her home. She is happy
now with Jesus. So sleep on little sister. I believe we will be together again and never to part any more.
