With a sad heart I will try and write the obituary of my Grandma Hettie Eldridge.  Ma passed away
Wednesday, August 8, 2001 at the Hazard Nursing Home.  She was the daughter of the late Ben A. and Eliza

She was born on April 4, 1911 making her stay with us 90 years.  Ma was the widow of the late Jessie

Surviving this union are 3 boys: Ray, John L., and Jessie Jr. Eldridge, 5 daughters: Cleda Profitt, Helen
Eldridge, Dorothy Ray Caudill, Kay Shell, and Wanda Sneed, 2 sisters: Pearly Cornett and Ethel Gilbert, 42
grandchildren and 58 great grandchildren along, with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Ma was preceded in death by 4 children, 6 brothers and 2 son in laws.

She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.  It was always a welcoming smile for anyone to come and visit
with her.  No matter how many times you could visit with her, she would always ask, “Why haven’t you been here
to see me?”  A very special thanks to those that went to visit with her.  She always loved for Bro. Virgil Combs to
come and sing “Just One Rose Will Do.”  She also loved Bro. Jr. Whitaker and Bro. Eli Smith from the Acup
Church.  She loved each and everyone of you and may the good Lord bless all that came to be with us in this time
of mourning.
