Marvin Breeding was born on April 5, 1926 and died on June 14, 2001 at the Whitesburg A.R.H., being 75
years of age at the time of his passing. At the age of 17, Marvin became a member of the United States Air
Force on February 23, 1944. After leaving the Air Force, he worked in the mines at Leatherwood, KY as a
electrician for a while before deciding to go to college to get an education. Marvin taught electricity at the
Letcher County Vocational School for 18 years before he had to retire on May 1, 1985 due to sickness. After
retirement, he always enjoyed seeing and talking to his former students who always had a kind word for Marvin
and thanked him for what he had taught them.
On the third Sunday on October, 1989, Marvin joined the Blair Branch Church and he was baptized on
November 19, 1989, by Bro. I.D. Back and Bro. John Preece. He loved going to church and when sickness
forced him to have to stay home it really bothered him. After being so sick and suffering so much, the Lord took
Marvin home on June 16.
Surviving Marvin Breeding is his wife, Mildred, who loved him so very much, his mother, Lula Breeding, who
is 99 years old, 2 sons, 1 stepson, 3 stepdaughters, 2 grand daughters, and 12 step grand children.
I know you have a happy home,
I will be with you someday, love,
I know how much you love me,
As much as I love you.
But tomorrow starts without me,
Please try to understand,
That an angel came and called my name,
Took my hand and said my place in Heaven was ready.
