Maxine Fletcher Ritchie was born February 9, 1932 in Perry County, Kentucky to Arthur Fletcher and Maultie
Sizemore Fletcher.  At an early age in life, she met and married Carl Ritchie.  The young married couple moved
to Montgomery in Knott County where they were still residing at her death on January 23, 2001.

During her life she felt the need for a savior, thus she turned to Jesus.  She became a member of the New
Bethlehem Church of Old Regular Baptist at Talcum, Kentucky.  Her husband, Carl, later followed her to the
same savior and same church.  They were later ordained as Deacons and served the church in this capacity
well until her death.

To mourn her passing she left a son, Arthur Lee Ritchie, a husband, Carl Ritchie, and a host of relatives and
friends.  I will always remember Sister Maxine as a happy person always having a kind word, a hug and a kiss
for all her brothers and sisters in the church where she attended so faithfully even during her illness.  Her loss
here on earth is surely Heavens gain.
