I knew, the morning I walked in your room, time would come soon,
I knew, through breaking heart, that we were soon to part.
I knew, through dim window light, that you were alright,
I knew, when you awake and wanted to be straight, it was too late.
Mom, I followed each step of your directions that day,
But you left none for the rest of the way!
I know what it takes to be with you again,
But it’s so hard without mommy to step in.
I know for now I’m on my own,
But by the Love of God I’ll be led home.
Your Loving Daughter, Sis.
