Brenda Sue Phipps was born on February 15, 1947 in Portsmouth, Ohio, the daughter of the late James E.
Conley and Arizona (Tackett) Conley. On November 5, 1964, Brenda was united in marriage to Bennie Phipps
who preceded her in death on February 20, 2002.
Surviving are four sons, Timmy Roy Dingess of Pennsylvania, James L. Phipps of Nashville, Tennessee,
Bennie Phipps of Pomeroy, Ohio, and Jeff Phipps of Stockdale, Ohio; one daughter, Regina Phipps of
Pataskala, Ohio; two brothers, Billy E. Conley of Pebbles, Ohio, and William S. Conley of Nashville, Tennessee;
and six sisters, Linda Lou Hardin, Janice Sheets, Sharon K. Slone, Omalee Etzwiler, April Mason, and Laura
Brenda was a homemaker and a member o the Rose of Sharon Old Regular Baptist Church. She was
converted on February 14, 1992 and was baptized by Brother Billy Conley and Bro. Dee Contrail into the New
Hope Church (United Baptist) until she joined the Rose of Sharon in Ohio in November, 2001. She was
baptized by Elder Billy Conley and Brother William S. Conley and was a good member until her death on July
