HAROLD HALL
It is with a sad and loving heart that we will try to write this obituary of our father and the husband of our dear
mother.  Harold Hall, age 88, of Jonancy, Kentucky, passed away on August 28, 2004.  He was born at Halo,
Kentucky on May 9, 1916 to Thomas “Buddy” Hall and Nannie Fouts Hall.  He is survived by his wife of 67
years, Kathleen Osborne Hall.  He is also survived by two sons, Harold, Jr. and Jarold; three daughters, Hazel,
Jean, and Lois; two brothers, Conard Hall and Thomas Hall; three sisters, Parsie Miller, Leatha Tacett and
Cleatha Sturgill.  He was preceded in death by five brothers: Herbie, Homer, Earl, Elvern, and Vernie; three
sisters, Grathel Tackett, Millie Waddles and Ethel King.  He is survived by seven grandchildren, two step-
grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 6 step great-grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren and 1 step
great-great grandchild.

Dad, formally employed by Codell Construction Company, and was retired.

Dad believed in the Old Regular Baptist faith.

One of Dad’s favorite things to do was talk about his younger days.  He would hold your attention with no
problem, because his stories were interesting and funny.  He was much like his father in that manner, who
marveled in telling interesting things of years past.

Fishng was one of his greatest enjoyments.  His son-in-law, Coy, and grandson, Mike, always enjoyed
fishing with him.  He loved the outdoors.  His brother, Conard, called him every day.  They would compare their
gardens to see which one was the best.  They were very close.

When family reunion time came around, he loved talking to family members he only saw once a year.  He
especially enjoyed this time with his cousin, Espie.  They exchanged stories and kept other members
interested.  Each year the couple married the longest was won by Harold and Kathleen, (67 years).  The oldest
man present was Harold.  We will miss him.

Written by his loving wife and children.
