Hattie Marie Lloyd was born in Letcher County, Kentucky, on April 3, 1910 and passed from this life on
Thursday, January 15, 2004 in Johnson City, Tennessee at the age of 93 years, 9 months and 12 days.

    She was the daughter of the late Stephen Sturgill and the late Alice Caudill Sturgill and the widow of Arthur
Lloyd.  She was also preceded in death by two children, Shirley Alice Lloyd and Charles Ray Lloyd.

    Survivors include two children:  Clyde Lloyd of Bluff City, Tennessee and Robertal Gilbert of Partridge, Kentucky;
nine grandchildren: Shirley Robbins and husband, Ronnie, Shelia McDowell and husband, Ronnie, Chester Gilbert,
Sharon Brown and husband, Marvin, David Lloyd and wife, Lori, Renee Miller and husband, Billy, Charlene Olson
and husband, Ole, Robert Lloyd, and Michael Lloyd and wife, Tammy; fourteen great grandchildren; and 3 great
great grandchildren.

    She was a native of Letcher County and has lived in Bluff City, Tennessee for the past 7 years.  She was a
member of the Poor Fork Old Regular Baptist Church.

    Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 18, 2004 at the Tri-City Funeral Home, Benham,
Kentucky, with Elder Harvey Creech and Elder Jim Fields officiating.  Interment was in the Peaceful Acres
Cemetery, Hiram, Kentucky.  Her grandsons served as pallbearers.
